As many of you know, as well as being a DIRECTOR / WRITER / PRODUCER, Andy is also a well known and credited film and theatre sword master ~ awarded an Hon. Professorship of Theatrical Fencing in 2011 by the British Academy of Fencing.
With his huge knowledge and experience in this field, the President of the British Academy nominated Andy for the role of Commissioner for Theatrical Fencing to the Académie d’Armes Internationale (AAI – http://www.escrime.org/).
We can now confirm as of the 21st September 2012, Andy was appointed by the President of the AAI as the UK’s first Commissioner for Theatrical Fencing (Stage & Screen).
Remember, if your production requires a sword master, a battle scene adviser, someone to supervise the action unit as director, then why not contact Andy? “Code Crackers” ~ The musical comedy with an original score by Garry Wilkinson is back in town! In fact, Wilkinson Productions is currently adapting the stage play into a screenplay for filming. The development is going well and we are optimistic that we will have news of pre-production sometime in 2013! In the mean time “Code Crackers” may well be heading off to Europe for a special series of performances. If you saw and heard the original musical and would like to hear the original cast version – including Charlie Cox – then Wilkinson Productions still has a limited number of CD’s available. “FLUX” ~ an original three part drama sci-fi special, written by Andy, has been submitted to ITV Drama for commissioning. Fingers crossed and watch this space for further updates!
